Finally, there’s a BS-free way to lose weight, or get fit, or just live a generally healthier lifestyle. There’s no potion or powder. There’s no pyramid-style marketing scheme. You don’t have to do anything other than buy The Fit Bottomed Girls Anti-Diet book, which releases today, and listen to the guidance provided by these really awesome gals who also happened to be well-educated experts.fbg anti diet

If a diet or weight loss book has come out since 2024, I’m telling you I’ve seen it. I’m the managing editor of the largest diet review site online; nearly 3,000 reviews later I’ve seen it all! So when I tell you that the FBG’s Anti-Diet is a must-have, must-read, no-nonsense, straight-talking book about living and feeling well, then you must believe me.

Anyone can publish a weight loss book. 50 Cent, Alicia Silverstone, and the like have all done it. They bring with them a lot of ghost-written anecdotal experience. What Jennipher Walters and Erin Whitehead deliver in their new book is a heap of certifications, practical experience, and scientifically-supported evidence that every woman can identify with. Best of all, they can apply it! Ten minutes is all these anti-dieters are asking of you. Whether that’s ten minutes to prep a meal, move your body, or lift your spirits, they’ve written the definitive guide on making the best use of all that time you think you don’t have.

So why do we love it so much? If you’ve ever spent even ten minutes on the Fit Bottomed Girls suite of sites, you’ll know there’s a voice and a candor there that is inclusive, energetic, and easy going. It’s that voice you’ll hear throughout this fun read. But that’s not all we love.

Eight Reasons You’ve Got Ten Minutes for The Fit Bottomed Girls Anti-Diet:

1. Big Ass Salads!

Yeah, we said it. So did they. There’s a two-week meal plan loaded with food you’ll actually want to eat and have time to make. Right there in black and white it says Big Ass Salad, one of our favorite entrees. These salads are the size of “your small pet” and have everything in them but the kitchen sink. They even include an official Big Ass Salad and Dressing recipe on page 284.

2. Friends References!

Enough said.

Our Exclusive Recipes Featured at FitBottomedEats.com

We really love Jenn and all the Fit Bottomed Girls, so when we learned last year that they’d be adding a third site to their sassy suite, we couldn’t help but ask if we could be a tiny part of it. FitBottomedEats.com is one of our favorite places to share our original recipes. Each month we craft a dessert, or breakfast, or entree that fits in to the lives of the easy-going, no-fuss ladies who visit there. We never make anything we wouldn’t, or don’t, eat ourselves and love that marriage of healthful and flavorful ingredients that always result in a winning recipe.

Each link will take you to the original recipe featured at FitBottomedEats.com. Be sure to tell Jenn we sent you!

Cheesy Stuffed Pepper Enchiladas

stuffed peppers done

We took everything we love about the classic green chili enchilada and stuffed it in to a big ‘ole bell pepper. In ditching the carb-loaded tortillas and typical cheddar cheese, we can focus on the flavor and wholesomeness of this quick and satisfying dinner.

Better Breakfast Burrito

We stuffed a soft spinach tortilla full of everything you love at breakfast and still managed to make it healthy! We used Applegate’s breakfast sausage links, which cook in mere seconds in the microwave, scrambled an egg, chopped fresh bell peppers, and sprinkled a bit of cheese. It’ll fuel your morning without interrupting your flow. (more…)

Read This Before You Try a Kettlebell Workout DVD

Kettlebell workouts seem to be all the rage these days. And because it’s an exercise known for being tough, gritty and somewhat complicated, I’ve been interested in trying it for the last few years (glutton for punishment, I am). But it wasn’t until I reviewed a few kettlebell workout DVDs that I gave them a go. And what a go it was.

kettlebellsWorking with kettlebells is intense and some of the movements are downright dangerous and can result in injury if you do them improperly. And because many of the moves—especially the compound ones—are extremely challenging and advanced, it’s likely that when you get tired (and you will get tired), your form will suffer. And bad form isn’t good. (more…)

4 Ways to Eat Your Yogurt

By Jennipher Walters for FitBottomedGirls.com

I have such an on-again, off-again relationship with yogurt. I’ll eat it daily or twice daily for a month and then, out of the blue, drop it like a hot potato. Which is dumb. Because that “hot potato” is full of good-for-your-tummy bacteria, calcium and deliciousness. Whether it’s a flavored yogurt or plain yogurt that you snazz up with some mix-ins, I have now realized that I should have never broken up with yogurt, even if it’s just for a weekend. Hopefully, yogurt will take me back. Check out our ideas below to keep your yogurt-relationship full of surprise and nutritious excitement!
