After eliminating Mandi, Ali calls the black team in to join her with the blue team. She reminds them to “expect the unexpected” and let’s them know that Mandi isn’t the only person heading home. All of the contestants are going home for a week and will be back to the ranch for the next weigh-in. (more…)
Rather than risking a tie and having the black team send her daughter Kristin home, Cathy Skell selflessly volunteered herself for elimination last night on the Biggest Loser. Cathy’s radiant personality had so many of us in love with her from the start. She came to the Biggest Loser ranch with one mission in mind – to do whatever it takes to transform her life. Since starting on her weight loss journey, Cathy has been able to reach new levels physically and emotionally.
Among some of her greatest accomplishments includes finishing 13.1 miles in the half-marathon challenge that Ali put the contestants up to while they were at home in week 11. Cathy has continued to be successful at home and starts her day bright and early with her trainer. With a great support system around her, including going to the gym and working out with her daughters, Cathy has dropped nearly 80 pounds and keeps up her routine on a daily basis. Whether she’s spinning or doing sprints, Cathy is on a one-way track toward total life transformation. (more…)

On the Biggest Loser we always hear about weighing our food and measuring to make sure we are eating the right portions. Portion control and eating right are two tips to live by when maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In order to do so, it helps to have the tools you need around your kitchen. Here are a few of the latest kitchen appliances from the Biggest Loser.
The Biggest Loser Digital Food Scale
To get precise portion control, I use a kitchen scale to measure out my foods such as chicken breast, turkey and cheese. The scale is compact and stores in a kitchen drawer. The glass top makes for easy clean up or you can measure in a bowl. This scale is a great tool to maintain a fit lifestyle. I have used many kitchen scales, but my favorite so far is the Taylor scale offered by the Biggest Loser. (more…)
I can’t help but be jealous that tonight the contestants met up with the gorgeous Chef Rocco DiSpirito to make healthy versions of their former favorite fast foods. Rocco spices up the competition by throwing out a prize to the team that makes the best tasting dishes with the lowest calories. They’re playing for a dinner cooked by Rocco, and one player of that team will get an extra vote for this week’s weigh-in. Winning with the best low-cal savory dishes is the black team. Lucky Laura won the extra vote for her team. (more…)
The teams are going blue vs. black and no one is guaranteed to keep their trainers. This week Alison starts the teams off in the mud with a pop challenge. Winning this challenge allows you to pick your trainer. (more…)

With her goal dress already too big, she’s having fun shopping for new clothes and loving going to the gym to workout. Being active is a major part of Shanon’s new life.
