Relaxium Sleep is a sleep aid that is designed to help you fall asleep faster, and to stay asleep longer with no interruptions during the night. The product states that it only uses safe, natural ingredients so there shouldn’t be and side effects or groggy hangovers the next morning,

It comes in capsules that are supposed to be taken 2 at a time with a meal, but not just before bed. To start, the label says not to surpass taking 2 capsules per day.

At this time, the top ranked sleep aid on the market is Fenotrex, taking the top spot over the hundreds of other sleep aids sold online and in stores. Review experts convened to evaluate the all the sleep aids that are available on the market, and they found that Fenotrex’s strong and balanced ingredients were unmatched. Do You Know the Best Sleep Aids of 2024 ?.

Relaxium Sleep Aid Ingredients and Side Effects

The product website makes it very difficult to locate a list of their ingredients or dosages that they use. It seems that they mostly attempt to push a free trial on you rather than provide relevant information about the product. That said, it has been sold through other third-party vendors and we were able to find the supplement facts there.

Here are some of the ingredients that are used in Relaxium Sleep Aid:

Melatonin Passion Flower Hops Inulin
Valerian Chamomile 5-HTP L-Glutamine

Passion Flower: A flower whose above ground parts are used to make medicine. It can treat several different symptoms and has many uses, but is mostly used to treat sleep problems. The chemicals within the plant are calming and can induce sleep while also relaxing muscles and preventing them from spasming. Additionally, it can be used to treat seizures, ADHD, irregular heartbeat, and is also used for flavoring in beverages.

5-HTP: Derived from an African plant named Griffonia simplicifolia, it is used primarily for treating sleep disorders like insomnia, as well as anxiety, depression, obesity, ADHD, seizures, and migraines. The ingredient works by increasing the production of serotonin in the brain and nervous system, which can have a profound effect upon sleep, mood, and sexual behavior. Unfortunately, there are some potential side effects that are associated with taking the ingredient, including:

  • Heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, and sexual problems

Chamomile: Extracted from an herb that comes from a flower and is turned into medicine. It can treat several different issues and disorders, including diarrhea, intestinal gas, ADHD, restlessness, and trouble sleeping. It is especially effective for sleep because it contains chemicals that help the body and mind to relax, and can also reduce swelling or inflammation in users. Because it reduces anxiety it helps many consumers to relax their brains prior to going to bed.

Anxiety can ruin a good night’s sleep, so stop worrying and look into out expert’s list of the top 10 sleep aids on the market here.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven sleep aid such as Fenotrex for better results.

Relaxium Sleep Aid Quality of Ingredients

Relaxium uses some quality ingredients and they are forthcoming about the specific dosages that they use for some of their supplements. Ingredients such as Chamomile, Passion Flower, Valerian, and Melatonin should all be useful in creating healthy sleep patterns and relieving stress or anxity that can keep someone up at night.

What concerns us is the use of 5-HTP. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for some sleep disorders, as well as other disorders, but it can produce some negative side effects in users as well, such as heartburn, stomach pain, and even more serious conditions according to webmd:

“Some have taken it have developed a condition called eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS) … involving extreme muscle tenderness”

Stop putting off your sleep issues and do something about them, like look at this top 10 list o the best sleep aids available right now.

The Price and Quality of Relaxium Sleep Aid

Strangely, the main website for Relaxium Sleep does not list a price. They seem more interested in getting you to sign up for a 30-day free trial of the product. This is a common method used by many companies who are not confident on their product as they take your payment information, begin your free trial, and then once it ends, you are charged the full price of the product immediately.

It appears that the product used to be sold through some other third-party online vendors, such as Lucky Vitamin, but they list it as no longer being in stock, and it is difficult to find for sale anywhere else. It also appears that there was never a money back guarantee offered with the product, meaning that if it didn’t work it would just be a sunk cost ot the user.

Customer Opinions of Relaxium Sleep Aid

As mentioned, Relaxium Sleep does not appear to still be being sold directly anywhere, beyond the free trials that are offered at the product website. This makes it difficult to track down objective customer reviews of the product, but fortunately we were able to locate some.

Here are some of the reviews of Relaxium Sleep aid that we were able to locate:

“Didn’t do anything for me. I followed the directions exactly but I still tossed and turned all night.”

“I used it for a couple of nights but kept getting an upset stomach, I stopped using it and the stomach aches did too.”

“Tried the free trial. Didn’t work. Still waiting to get my money back.”

Conclusion – Does Relaxium Sleep Aid Work?

Relaxium Sleep would seem to feature a good blend of ingredients, but the product and company raises a lot of red flags. First off, the product website does not list a clear price for the product, which is never a good sign, and they instead offer a 30-day free trial of the product which is a common method used to charge customers for product unknowingly and enroll them in an auto-renewal system. Beyond that, the fact that the only other places it appeared to have been sold online are no longer carrying the item, suggests that it may no longer be being produced.

The product itself had some potential by utilizing good ingredients like melatonin, valerian, and chamomile, even if the inclusion of 5-HTP was a mistake. That blend of ingredients could have potentially helped a lot of individuals if they were more forthcoming and transparent about their specific dosages, but they only list a few.

If you’re wondering what the top sleep aid on the market is currently, it’s Fenotrex, and it’s because of satisfied reviews from customers and a formula of ingredients that are known to be effective. It has gained a reputation for getting users to bed fast and keeping them asleep all through the night without at disruptions.

The effectiveness of the product comes from its ability to blend a mix of ingredients that have been tested by third-parties and were found to be effective. Additionally, the product is made in a GMP approved facility. If you want to find out more about how Fenotrex could improve your sleep habits, then just click here.

Unable to speak directly with a human representative! Only robo automated program! Reporting this to FDA and FCC for possible fraud! Buyer beware!

TruthinAdvertising says:

As helpful as a warm glass of milk.

Dontbelievetvads says:

The warm glass of milk probably will work better and won’t enroll you in a auto renewal system. Plus if the milk doesn’t help you sleep it has other uses.

Yolanda Dolinger says:

The first night I tried Relaxium, I went right to sleep…about 9…at 3 Am I was wide awake, refreshed, so, maybe 6 hrs of sleep was all my body needed…but not happy with that. 2nd night, it didn’t work as well, I took a rx of Lorazapam to help me fall asleep. I’m trying to get off of Lorazapam, but honestly, it’s really the only thing that works! 3rd day, this was a scary one. I took my 2 capsules of Relaxium, went to sleep. Woke up at midnight with heart pounding, and flushing. I got up and took an rx of Lorazapam. Was able to go to sleep. Now, I’m hesitant to take the Relaxium tonight. Plan on taking this issue to my doctor. I believe I experienced an anxiety attack.

kathy peach says:

DOES NOT WORK. IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE AND MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT.

Debra says:

Purchased a trial bottle, didnt receive but did received 2 bottles, it didn’t work but was charged $7.95 on 2/2/18 and $119.90 On 2/17/18. Needless to say only took 8 pills and it didn’t work. Now I need to see about getting money back for an unauthorized charge on my card. Very disappointed……….

Debra says:

2/17/18 was the second charge.

Rodney says:

I got stung by the hidden cost as well Debra. Going back to Advil PM. I feel this company is scamming people and should be reported to the BBB!!!!

Jerry Meyerhoffer says:

Same thing happen to me. Paid 7.95 for two bottles. Later when I received my credit card statement they had charged me $119.90. Sounds like a scam to me. Also, I was scratching more than a dog with the mange. No effect on my sleep. Plan to notify the Attorney General of Florida.

AJ says:

Caused my skin to itch and had no positive effects on my sleep whatsoever. Kept me awake!

Dan Ventura says:

The listed address is a post office. I live close to that address and 3201 W Hillsborough Ave is the Tampa main post office. If you buy this junk don’t expect to get your money back. The listed suite number is a PO box.

Disappointed says:

Made me go do the bathroom all day long. Lost a full day because of that as well as upset stomach.

Charles R Lujan says:

Better to read comments prior to purchasing, if true for others, may be also true for you. Not to be left possibly hoodwinked, or in a quandry. Hope I can reeive a full refund, the true determiner of a legitimate company. Thanks for insight.

kay wiliams says:

Pure Junk, & yes, they send you 2 bottles not just the $7 for shipping as advertised, Then they bill you over 100$

Walter says:

I took one and it made me really sick!!
I didn’t know they would keep sending them to me. They had a Free Bottle to Try out.
They made me go online to pay for the shipping with my credit card, which I did.
Their TV AD never said anything about continuing to receive the Product after trying one.
They had an order form of you want to buy more. Nothing about Automatic sending them to you.
What a SCAM!!! Be Careful of People like this!

Jeff H says:

BEWARE OF THE SMALL PRINT. I responded to the ad which claimed that you can try Relaxium for free, just pay $7.95 for S&H. I gave them my credit card # and received 2 bottles. A month later I received 2 more bottles and was charged $119 on my credit card bill. I called Relaxium and they said that I could keep the 2 bottles and they would credit me $90 and they would stop further charges. I agreed. On the next credit card bill, I received the $90 credit but was also charged another $127.85. I called Relaxium again and they said that the $119 charge was for the “free” first 2 bottles, and the $90 credit was against a $127.85 charge for the additional 2 bottles. As it turns out, the small print says that if you do not cancel your “free” trial after 14 days, you will be charged $119. So, after thinking that I was paying $7.95 for 2 bottles, I am stuck paying a net of $164.70 for 4 bottles. These people do not operate in good faith.

Charlee Cole says:

Where is this available in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Rick says:

Their ad is very misleading saying that it’s a “30-Day Risk Free Trial” for $7.95, but in less than two weeks you’re charged $119.90 without any explanation. Telling them that the product doesn’t work for you falls on deaf ears. They tell you that the only way to get the charges (charges for what reason I have no idea, nor do they feel obliged to tell you) returned is to send back their product at of course your own expense. So for the 30-Day couple week “Risk Free” false time period, and unless getting your account charged for $120 surprise charge that they have no intentions of returning or what it’s for appeals to you then perhaps this useless product is “Risk Free” for you to try.

Bob says:

How do you get out of their scam? The Free Trial is what they use to trap you into a subscription then you have to jump through hoops to get additional product they immediately start send you. Very disappointed in Gov. Huckaby being their spoke person.

Mary Mathieson says:

There are safer and cheaper alternatives. A melatonin patch helps with staying asleep. I’m trying to get off roller coaster of things piled on me, dangerously, by doctors in bed with Big Pharma. They all sleep well. Lemon Balm, 5-HTP, L-theanine can all be purchased inexpensively. So can valerian, chamomile and passion flower. My rule these days: avoid medication and anything with a “proprietary blend.” It’s a little more effort, but you can tailor it to your needs and if you react badly, you can isolate the problem.

jimurness says:

does not work for me even after taking a double dose

Carmen says:

On two occasions I woke up and my heart was racing. It was hard to breathe and it felt like an anxiety attack. There should be a warning about taking this along with anti depressant medications or mood stabilizers. I’m afraid that this was the reason why.

It sucks!

J. Jones says:

Tried Relaxium. Received 2 bottles. 1st bottle’s inside seal had been broken or never completed. Left that bottle alone. Opened 2nd bottle. Used for several weeks, could tell no difference. Have had periods of short sleep, nothin longer than 2-3 hours. Not sure I can blame it on Relaxium, but can say there has been no beneficial change while using the pills. Called phone number on credit card statement, 888-353-1205 and price was reduced for open bottle. will throw all away.

Rebecca D Rikard says:

This stuff did not work. Only made me toss and turn. Called to cancel and could not get a person. Meanwhile they charged my bank around 120 bucks. Just sent an email to support, see how that goes

John Ingmanson says:

I bought relaxium using their promo saying it’s FREE and I can try it at NO RISK? Well there is a risk! My wife and I both examined their site very carefully and no where does it say they’ll charge you for anything other than shipping but they LIE! Two weeks after I got it, they took $119 out of my account causing an overdraft. Their ad lies and they use dishonest and deceptive sales practices. I didn’t even work for me after 2 full weeks using it. Any company that has to sneak money from someone’s account WITHOUT their permission, is dishonest and knows full well their product sucks and being deceptive is their only way to make money. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

AL Gulla says:

This is by far the worst product l have ever purchased, anyone who writes something positive of this product, is related to the maker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

S, York says:

After reading the comments about relaxium I guess I won’t be ordering it

sheila says:

I called their 800 number to get a free bottle they said on TV it would be free shipping also went through the automated system then they wanted 7.95 for shipping and handling I never gave them my card number Thank God because they lied about it being free shipping! so I just hung up knowing now from these other reviews I’m glad I didn’t get taken by them!!!

Anonymous says:

This is a scam. There is no such thing as a only pay S&H free bottle. The S&H charges are immediately followed by a $120 charge to your credit card! When you return unused (snd unrequested) bottles….you are informed that you did nit return “in time”. I feel so foolish and learned a valuable lesson but never again. Warning to all!!!

Bob Freeman says:

I am disappointed to read these comments especially after the strong TV endorsement from a man that I respect…..and I have no reason to doubt anything that has been said. All I can say is thanks for the warning and i won’t be purchasing anything that has to do with this product.

William brown says:

Thieves. Endorsed by gov mike huckaby on tv.

patty Transeau says:

my father wanted me to check this out since Mike Huckabee is recommending but after reading these reviews think it better to stay away. he has AFIB & don’t think it’s a good idea glad I told him would check on. he asked was it really only S & H charges. just saved him alot of frustration I think

Steve D says:

Read the comments above, had the same experience. Called customer service, said send back unopened bottle and they would refund my money. The product does not work as advertised.

Anonymous says:

Some one should tell Mike Huckabee to quit making these commercials. He’s ruing his reputation

Annette B says:

The pills did not work, made me sick and restless. In the mornings, I had brain fog. I’ve tried calling the company 5 times, leaving a message but no returned calls. I stayed on the line to wait for Customer Service but was eventually cut off. This is a scam!!!! The Anonymous is right, Mike Huckabee needs to know.

Anonymous says:

Maybe he does know.

Sam Showers says:

First night didn’t go to sleep until 2am, second night after 4am, 3rd night didn’t sleep at all, 4th night (l ant no quitter) was able to go to sleep before midnight but woke up at 6am, The 5th and last night got to sleep around 3:30! Called and canceled future orders but they still charged almost $90 for first two bottles because I didn’t return them. I called customer service, who said they would only refund $75 because if I sent back the unused bottles I would have to pay shipping so total I lost about $30 for the experience!

Sam Showers says:

I would not recommend this product to anyone; it’s a waste of time and money and “it does not work”! I don’t know how much they paid Mike Huckaby to do that commercial but it must have been a lot and I bet he never tried that stuff!

Therese says:

BEWARE THIS COMPANY DOESN’T HONOR IT’S PRODUCT RETURNS!!! THE PRODUCT WORKS FOR 4 HRS. AND MADE MY STOMACH BURN.
THIS IS BATE AND SWITCH. A CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO GET A REFUND.
TO BAD I LIKE MIKE HUCKABEE

Jennifer K says:

This product made me deathly ill. The first time I took it, I thought I had food poisoning. A few hours after taking it, I woke up feeling nauseous. I took a sip of ginger ale and immediately started dry heaving. Within 30 minutes I had uncontrollable diarrhea. This continued on for about 6 to 8 hours. I never made the connection to Relaxium until I tried it again about 10 days later. This time it was even worse. I thought I was going to die. It was like I took poison. I vomited, had stomach cramps and uncontrollable diarrhea. Then I got chills and shakes. I lost 10 lbs in 24 hours. I must have been allergic to some of the ingredients or I got a contaminated batch. I just wanted to warn others that it is not worth the risk.

Gloria says:

I had exact same symptoms. Ended up in emergency room via ambulance.
Took a couple of days later and had similar symptoms but was able to control with pills given at hospital to stop at least the vomiting.
The entire episode was at best terrifying and I know now it was the Relaxium.
Glo

David Reed says:

I had the same problems, took one capsule, woke up with diarrhea and vomiting, tried it again a few days later witH the same effect. Got my money back with apologies and denial that their product could cause it, still have stomach problems that have led to C-Diff with uncontrollable diarrhea… Just wondering if there is a class-action suit against the company..

Mel says:

I had almost the exact reaction! Threw my bottle away and days later I’m still suffering stomach upset.

Jen H. says:

This company’s order confirmation showed the free trial price of $7.95, but when the bank statement came, they had charged $89.98!! We trusted Gov. Mike Huckabee and he is their spokesperson both on the unending TV ads and on their outgoing message when I tried to call to speak to someone there, but of course they were closed! I cannot believe a company the Gov. Mike represents would do something so underhanded and dishonest. We are really disappointed in Mike and this company. They promise to refund 100% if your unsatisfied for any reason with your “Risk Free” trial – well this is a BIG reason to be unsatisfied! I wouldn’t believe this company’s confirmation, hot deals, or anything again…AND, It is NOT a reliable product, so I’d be asking for our money back anyway. The company is not reliable either if they confirm one price & then charge 11X higher when you get the statement!

Mary McKinley says:

I agree with all who wrote in, They should be reported for false information nothing was free & they also charged for shipping. I would love to join a class action law suit.

Don Flood says:

I want to send this back it does not work
Called CS and got double talk about I did not comply with fine print
I used to think highly of Huckabe but now have big doubts a
about him

Anonymous says:

I am sick of Huckabee’s commercials and after reading these reviews will not purchase it. I mute his commercials anyway because they run constantly!!!

jeff nelson says:

Haven’t tried Fenotrex as mentioned, but after trying everything else. I have found that Melatonin 12 mg and Unisom sleep tabs ( make sure to buy the one that contains Doxylamine Succinate have worked for me. Takes approx 1 to 2 weeks to fully kick in.

Sonny Kowalik says:

Doesn’t work!You won’t get your refund ! Shame on Gov. Huckabee .!

Lynn O says:

I purchased my bottle on Amazon, and thankfully for a lot less than what anyone paid here. I caught it at the top of the product listing when I clicked on it that IT WAS ALREADY CHECKED IN THE BOX FOR MONTHLY PURCHASES. I hit the box below it for a “one time purchase,” and everything came up different than the first box. I wish I had read this information first, but like many of you here, I really liked and trusted Mike Huckabee and I believed what he was saying about he and his wife being users of this product. Since I already have numerous digestive issues, I won’t be opening the bottle or trying to return it. Just cash it in as another lesson learned. When it comes to sleep issues there are many crooks waiting to take advantage of those of us with problems. I get 3-4 hours of sleep a night and guess, at this age, I should be happy it’s not a permanent horizontal position!!!! The waking up refreshed is what got to me. Until about six years ago I was out of bed at 6 a.m. and ready to go. Now I’m awake between 3-4 a.m. and my get up and go got up a went without me. I was hopeful, but after reading this I won’t even try it. Thanks to all.

Sarah. A says:

I bought this as a free trial offer but was charged $7.98 for shipping. Two weeks later there was a $89 charge on my credit card. I was not well, when the trial bottles came, so I put off taking the tablets.
I called relaxium 800#.spoke to a life person. Told him I would send both unopened bottles back and I requested $89 refund. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. It was removed. I took the trial tablets..and it has done nothing for me, except kept me up all night, tossing and turning. I don’t know what Mr.huckabee is raving about. Going back to Advil PM. At least I know I can get some sleep.

Sandra says:

I am so disappointed. I have lost 3 nights of sleep trying this product.Does not work at all. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Finally spoke to a person to try to get my 100% guaranteed money back and she would only refund me half she told me to try taking four pills at the beginning of the night instead of two and keep the bottles. I don’t want the bottles I want to send them back and get 100% of my money back. Very pissed off customer. Not only did I get ripped off but I am exhausted!

Anonymous says:

We bought the 2 bottle special. My wife took most of the 1st bottle (40 days) and it seemed to help – when bottle was low she added 2nd bottle. Upon taking 2 pills she had a violent reaction. She waited 40 days and tried 2 pills again last night (1/6/22) – same violent reaction – possibly 2nd bottle was contaminated in some way.

Kellie W says:

A trial that only costs $7.95 is extremely deceptive. Seventeen days after your initial order of $7.95, which was for two bottles, not one, and about a week after your initial order, your credit card is charged an additional $89.98. Based on their own advertising, one week is not long enough to determine if the product will work. IF you decide it does not work for you, it can be returned at YOUR risk and expense for a refund. At that point, IF you do not ensure that you have completely canceled everything with Relaxium, you will receive another charge on your credit card for $97.93 approximately fifty-five days after your initial order for a $7.95 trial. Again, it can be returned at YOUR risk and expense for a refund.

Gary J Katocs says:

I ordered it..After researching the ingredients I decided with my current BP meds I could be getting into a drug interaction issue that no body needs…I returned the bottles before ven opening them and stopped payment to them on my AMEX card. To be fair I did contact the Co. and they were very polite and efficient in handling my return. Have your Doc or Pharmacist review the ingredients.

Joe C Hall says:
