Week 17 on Weight Watchers

Poppy chronicles her Weight Watchers experience.

Poppy talks about her 17th weigh-in on the Weight Watchers plan. Although her weight wasn't what Poppy had hoped for, she had a great week. She talks about the difficulty of going to the gym in January, when everyone is trying to keep up with their New Years Resolutions. Instead, she found a way to exercise at home. She also talks about better ways to use your daily points.

Aww..love your video...having a hard time..been doing Weight Watchers for a number of years...up and down...but been at a plateau for like 3 years now...(I know..sad but then I've been maintain too....down 65 pounds) but I need to get serious again because I've been soo comfortable that I'm not loosing...just maintain. I love that i"m maintaining and can eat pretty much whatever....like yoiu said...I can go to Micky D's and get a burger and fries and count it. Well that's my problem, I eat it and then go over points. So I said this is my year to loose the rest of my wieght. got about 90 more pounds to go...Gotta break this comfortable plateau. Urghh ...but ur video is really encouraging cause you understand the ww struggle... Keep going!

I just watched your video and became inspired! I just joined WW 2 days ago and finding evenings so difficult that I want to eat everything that I shouldn't eat.

You mentioned that there were some recipes that you just loved (brownies...omg yummy!) but you didn't say where you got them from. Could you email me or post the recipe?

Keep up the good work and keep inspiring more people!!

You Go Girl!

Don't ever give up just because you gained .2 lbs or whatever...just keep going. You will wake up one day and say, "Where did the rest of me go?" It happened to me! Weight Watchers is awsome!

You are beautiful on the inside because you let it shine through your "ramblings" lol

You beautiful on the outside no matter what your size is. Always remember that.

Get healthy and be happy. That is what is important.

The best thing to do, believe it or not, is walk! Walk walk walk. You can lose heaps. I went from 190lbs to 114 lbs in one year. All I did was walk. Not the fast crazy walkin either...just regular walks. Long ones though. So if you can't get to the gym or you can't get on your bike...just take a walk.

Anyway, Best of luck to you and God Bless!

You are so much fun! I just started WW on Monday so wish me luck. To heck with that stupid gym getting in the way of your workouts--go for the biking and start a light jogginig program for the cardio. If all else fails, and you have cable, go to the Exercise and Fitness option and you can get the BEST workouts in the world--right in the privacy of your own home! Good luck. I don't know how much you've lost so far, but I have about 40 lbs this time around--I am a lifetime WW member and can vouch for it working!! Good luck!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. I'VE BEEN WITH WEIGHT WATCHER'S FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. I'M ON MAINTAINANCE RIGHT NOW. I'VE LOST 60 POUNDS AND KEEPING ON TRACK WITH MY GOAL WEIGHT. I WENT THROUGH GAINS AND LOSSES BUT BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU GET THERE. LIKE YOU I HATED LINE UP FOR MACHINES SO I SAVED UP AND BOUGHT MY OWN TREADMILL ON SALE. YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK IN THE PAPER TOO. SOMETIMES PEOPLE JUST WANT TO GET RID OF THEM. BIKE RIDING IS GREAT AND I ENJOY IT TOO. ALSO WITH THE NICE WEATHER... I ENJOY GOING FOR LONG WALKS WITH MY DAUGHTER. ALSO LOOK FOR DANCE CLASSES THEY'RE FUN AND YOU FEEL YOU'RE NOT WORKING OUT. BUT THE WORK OUT IS GREAT. I CAN RELATE TO YOUR VIDEO COMPLETELY. AGAIN THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT. IT WILL BRIGHTEN THE DAY FOR OTHERS.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work. I just came across this. I joined WW 4 weeks ago; weigh in today!! I down 8 lbs so far, but the inches tell a better story!! I think I may have lost another pound! Works for me, every little bit helps. Small steps = big, long term rewards. I decided that I don't want to be big any more. I am currently 47 and by my 48th birthday in August I want to be down to a Size 12. It is definatly a realistic goal. I am in a 14-16 now. I work out 4 times a week and I watch what I eat "points" and how I cook it. No white flour for me. Whole Wheat, etc. I've truly made a lifestyle change and I am loving it!!!! Keep up the good work gurrl, I'm praying for you. Please pray for me!!!!

Cindy,

Don't give up. I will be 50 in a couple months. IT's never too late to start. I've been on since this past July and I've lost 67 points. You can do it! It's the best diet out there...

I came across your video and have now decided to go for it. Thank you thank you thank. Your positive attitude is awesome. love it.

I have struggled with being overweight my whole life, and now I am 52 and still fat. I hate what I see when I look in the mirror, and have decided to do something about it, cuz I don't want to leave this world heavy. Yopur enthusiasm and energy are very appealing to me, and I look forward to seeing more of your life progress. Thanks
