Biggest Losers Perform a Maori Haka War Chant
Sione, Filipe and Mike perform a war chant before the weigh-in.
Before the week 10 weigh-in, the Sione, Filipe and Mike of the black team performed a traditional Maori Haka dance and war chant. Inspiring their teammates? Defending against competitors? Either way, it was welcome entertainment by all.

Fully into the vid - but I think you'll find this is not a 'traditional tongan dance." This is a "haka" from New Zealand, and is Maori (indigenous people of NZ) in origin. New Zealand is a completely different country and land mass to Tonga. This haka is called Ka Mate ("Tis Death"), and is meant as a challenge. This kind of haka would once have been performed before battle, but this one has until recently been the only haka the NZ rugby team performs before international games. Seriously, google it. This is why the rest of the world thinks the US is full of ignorant twits.
