In this video, Dr. Mike addresses if the 17 Day Diet is appropriate for people with a number of health conditions, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, high blood pressure or hypertension. Really, the 17 Day Diet is a very healthy nutritional plan, and can be followed by almost anyone with the health conditions listed above. The only group of people who may want to use more caution is people who suffer from type 1 diabetes, who may need to be more careful about their blood sugar. For someone with type 2 diabetes, this diet is ideal. In fact people with type 2 diabetes may find less need for blood sugar medications after following the 17 Day Diet for several weeks. However, you should still be careful about checking your blood sugars.
