About Me:
I'm not big on dieting. I rarely try diets. I started the 50 Million Pound Challenge diet last week and in the first 4 days I lost 7 pounds. I've heard stories of diets that failed and the struggles of the people that dabble in many different diets only to lose little and gain even more back. I think I lucked out because I don't fall for fad diets and the Challenge diet is based on proper eating and building up your metabolism. I started the diet at 253 pounds.
The goals I'm working toward:
- Fitting Exercise into my life
- Healthier eating
- Reaching my ideal weight
I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:
I haven't felt good about my weight since 1990 when I had my first child.
My favorite healthy food:
Fruits and Vegetables
My guiltiest pleasure:
Stealing a bite from my families regular meals.
I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:
I realized that I'm getting older and it will more difficult to do this later in life. I want so badly to be a grandma and I want to be able to enjoy it without extra weight and health issues. I want to be able to pass this new lifestyle on to my grandkids.
Healthy habits that work for me:
- Home Gym
- Fat free flavored water instead of soda
- Having a variety in my food choices
My favorite activity at the gym is:
I use a home gym and am able to work out whenever the mood strikes me nomatter what time of day it is.
The accomplishments I'm most proud of:
- Losing 7 pounds in the first 4 days of my diet.
- My children growing into wonderful morally sound young adults.
- Taking in unwanted animals and caring for them the way they should be.
