About Me:

Shannon is currently at work on an array of writing and photography projects.

Presently, she lives in Central Florida, but will be heeding the call of the mountains later this year and moving back to Asheville, NC.

I'm a writer of things. I've written for The Orlando Sentinel as a Contributor, The Osceola News-Gazette as a contributor and photographer; presently, I write two comic book series entitled, THE LINE and HYPERSONIC.

In September 2008, I embarked on a life-changing journey to lose weight and get healthy. As of July 2009, I have lost over 75lbs and become a lover of fitness and health. I aspire to not only continue my journey of healthy living (becoming vegan in November 2009 as well), but hope that I might inspire others who have struggled like I did to lose weight and be a happy, healthy person that enjoys life.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Toning my body
  • Complete a 1/2 marathon
  • Keeping active

since becoming healthy, I feel great

  • Counting calories

  • Setting goals for my fitness

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Not a big gym fan, prefer the outdoors

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Losing over 80lbs
  • Maintaining it
  • Finishing my first 10k
