Diets Make Us Feel Deprived
Why Your Diet is Doomed
There are many approaches to diets, and not all of them are about calorie restriction. Most, however, usually emphasize what you can’t eat more than what you can. This sets up a negative attitude about how you eat, which is never good over the long haul.
"Diets that restrict freedom can result in frustration, so the relapse is that you crave food constantly or end up binging later," says Racha Zeidan, author of Great Body No Diet. "Food should be the last thing on your mind, especially when you know that there is a safe way to eat. Also, diets almost always completely eliminate sugar and fat from a person’s daily intake, though a bit of sugar is needed for our energy levels, and a bit of fat is good for our body."Next Prev Slide 2 / 4
