Saturday Morning Drills: The Lower Body Blitz

This is a move I learned in yoga class that I love to perform when I want both a stretch and some toning.

Start by bending down and touching your toes if you can. Then lift your left leg back and up toward the sky, keeping it as straight as possible throughout the motion. Hold at the top of the motion for one count and then return it to starting position. Repeat this lift, also known as a "standing split," 12 times on each leg.
