Saturday Morning Drills: Stretches for Runners

The pigeon pose is a simple yoga pose that really opens up the hip flexors. Simply get into plank position and then pull one leg up under you, flattening the outside of your shin to the ground. Then slowly lower down your body weight down until you feel a good stretch. More flexible stretchers can likely fold all the way down with forehead to the ground. Hold for 60 seconds, then switch legs and repeat.
