Saturday Morning Drill: Energy Booster

This simple move can be done with or without a dumbbell for a quick tone of the shoulders, biceps and nearly all of the leg muscles. The concept is to move an object from the "bottom shelf to the top shelf."

Start by standing with feet hip width apart and then squat down to your right side, sliding your arms over your right knee - hold for one count. Next, rise back up and move your hands up overhead, over your left shoulder, to set the object on the "top shelf."

This is one rep - complete a total of 12 on each side, adding a 8-10 lb weight for more intensity.
