Maybe you need to shake up your workout by returning to your youth. When’s the last time you played with a hula hoop? It’s probably been too long because if you knew the health benefits of that silly toy you’d be doing the hula tonight. The benefits of hula-hooping have been likened to the benefits of boot camps or step aerobics. The average hooper burns about 400 calories an hour. Surely the laughing adds to the calorie burn as your body remembers how to keep that hoop spinning.
