It's the highest showing Nutrisystem has achieved in the five years we've been organizing our Most Popular Diets list. With more emphasis in the past year on food and less on their celebrity testimonials, Nutrisystem appears to be making gains in more places than their ranking.
Major changes for the brand this past year include the introduction of an exceptional line of chef-designed fresh-frozen meals, as well as specific counseling for its diabetic customers under the Nutrisystem-D brand. In June, Nutrisystem was named as one of the best tasting meal delivery plans.
The biggest news of all came this fall when Nutrisystem announced its new CEO. When Dawn Zier assumed her new role in November she became the first female CEO for this largely female-focused brand. It safe to expect Nutrisystem to appear on the 2013 list when the product and marketing advances the brand will make under Zier's leadership.

-I was on this diet for over a year & lost weight but regained it all. I also became very ill while on the plan & I think the diet was partly to blame. Many doctors are telling us it isn't healthy to eat a lot of processed food & that is what this diet is based on. As I became increasingly sick my leader at Nutrisystem never suggested that I should reconsider my diet.
