Military Weight Standards

Measurements are taken in the APFT uniform. Add six pounds per inch for males and five pounds per inch for females measuring over 80 inches tall.

For a female measuring 5’5”, with no prior enlistment, the minimum weight is 140 pounds. The maximum weight is 153 pounds with all weights varying by age.

For a male measuring 6’ tall, with no prior enlistment, the minimum weight is 200 pounds. The maximum weight is 210 pounds with all weights varying by age.
