How Much Sugar is in Your Food

Soda has become a major target for anti-obesity campaigns. The City of New York created an ad campaign featuring a man eating an equivalent number of sugar packets as the amour of sugar in a soda.

A single serving in a 12-ounce can contains 39 grams, or ten teaspoons. However, many people don't realize that a 20-ounce bottle contains two servings of soda, which means that drinking the whole bottle is the same as consuming more than 16 sugar cubes, or 65 grams of sugar.
