Almond butter is such a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional peanut butter that it's a must for your summer sandwiches.

This sandwich is super simple, and any kid old enough to wield a butter knife can prepare this tasty little lunch all on his own. It's perfect for afternoons by the pool, packing in picnics, or lazy summer lunches at home. For mom and dad, you can even treat yourself to one of these to fuel your workouts.

Make This Sandwich

2 slices of whole grain bread with a generous spread of almond butter, slice half a banana, and sprinkle the top with dried cranberries.

Make It Healthier

Look for low-sodium almond butter and dried cranberries without added sugar.
