Healthy Appetite Strategies

Skimping on sleep seems to disrupt the balance of hormones in the body—you produce more ghrelin, the hunger-stimulating hormone, and less leptin, the hormone that signals fullness. You should be aiming for seven to nine hours a night. Practice good sleep hygiene: Try to go to bed and wake at the same times everyday, use your bedroom only for sleep or sex and avoid doing anything that would stimulate you before bedtime (including exercising, watching TV and drinking caffeine or alcohol.)
