Patrick Ferrari is a mental health foster care worker from Albany, Oregon. He says he was "okay" with being fat until he began to see that his habits were affecting his wife, who has also struggled with her weight since their marriage. Patrick developed unhealthy eating habits as a means of coping as a child. His father had a drug problem as was imprisoned, leading to his parents divorce. Patrick looks forward to getting into good shape so that he can pursue his dream of becoming a police officer.
