John Rhode is a special eduction teacher and football coach from Mesa, Arizona. He feels that being so overweight prevents him from living his life to its fullest with his family. He is married, and has two sons, ages eight and five. He once had to gain weight to play football, but today, stress leads him to eat unnecessarily. He realized he had to make a change after he realized that he was eating a meal in order to gain the courage to handle a problem. Once he gets down to a healthy weight, John looks forward to skydiving.
