About South Beach Diet

Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet is deigned to eliminate cravings and kick start weight loss. This phase only last for two weeks and requires the elimination of starches like bread, pasta, and rice. Potatoes, fruits, milk, yogurt, honey, and baked goods are also eliminated during phase one. The purpose of this phase is to stabilize blood sugar, which will decrease cravings. This fact makes The south Beach Diet great for those who are prediabetic or diabetic. The stabilization of blood sugar also is ideal for those needing to lose a lot of weight. While many items are eliminated, the dieter will still consume three balanced meals a day along with snacks. The meals and snacks will be high protein. Lean proteins, eggs, low-fat cheese, fresh vegetables, as well as beans and nuts are all one the approved list for phase one.
