Spicy Chai Grilled Chicken

Tired of the same chicken recipe? This is both sweet, spicy and perfect for grilling.

Yield: Serves 4


  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 Tbs. spicy garlic soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs. caribbean spice rub
  • 1 orange, halved and juiced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


  • Rub chicken with soy sauce, then with spice rub, pressing spices into flesh
  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, orange juice and cilantro
  • Heat grill or prepare coals
  • When coals are hot, sprinkle chai sauce (soy and spice rub) over coals
  • Immediately place chicken on rack and cover grill
  • Cook, turning periodically and brushing with olive oil/juice/cilantro mixture, until chicken is done
  • Test chicken for doneness by cutting into thickest portion- chicken is done when juices are no longer pink
