Spiced Cranberries

Yield: 4- 1/2 cup per serving



Tart cranberries are sweetened and spiced in this colorful sauce.

12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup raisins
2 cinnamon sticks
a pinch of ground cloves

Place all ingredients in 3 quart sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberries are tender, about 10 minutes. Allow to sit for 10 more minutes. Remove cinnamon sticks and serve warm.
