Chinese Noodle Salad

Yield: 8- 1-3/4 cups per serving



8 cups shredded cabbage
3 tablespoons sliced almonds
2 tablespoons sesame seeds.
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/2 cup crispy chow mein noodles
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/3 cup wine vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
black pepper to taste

Place the shredded cabbage in a large salad bowl. Toast the almonds and sesame seeds in a preheated 375º toaster oven or oven until lightly browned. Add to the shredded cabbage, along with the green onions. Coarsely crush the noodles and add them to the salad. Stir in the sesame oil, vinegar, sugar and pepper and serve.
