Portobello mushrooms are cooked tender in tangy spicy barbecue sauce and served inside crusty French-style rolls.
2 large fresh Portobello mushrooms, sliced in 1/4 inch slices
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
4 French style rolls
2 cups dark green lettuce
1 large tomato, slice thin
4-1/4 inch slices red onion
Place Portobello mushroom slices and barbecue sauce in large shallow microwaveable container, cover and microwave until tender- about 3 or 4 minutes.
Warm rolls in toaster oven or oven then slice in half horizontally. Build burger with Portobello mushroom slices on bottom, lettuce, tomato and onion on top. Cap with roll tops.
