Banana Flax Smoothie
Blend bananas with yogurt and flaxseed for a powerful breakfast drink.
Yield: Serves 2. Each serving: 1 cup.
This smoothie is a nutrient and energy powerhouse. Enjoy it in the morning or for a late night snack.
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 1 cup skim or soy milk
- ½ cup nonfat yogurt
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons ground flax (grind in blender or coffee grinder)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
