Pot Roast

A home cooked favorite that doesn't take all day.

Yield: Serves 8


  • 2 lb. boneless venison shoulder or rump roast
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups water


  1. Trim fat from meat
  2. In pot, brown meat in oil
  3. Drain off fat
  4. Add soy sauce and water
  5. Bring to a boil
  6. Reduce heat
  7. Simmer, covered for 1 1/2 - 2 hours
  8. Optional: after browning meat, place in crock pot with 2 1/2 cups water and 1/2 cup soy sauce
