Pork Chops and Maple Pecan Sauce

Say Oh! Canada to this dinner.

Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4- 4 oz. lean boneless center-cut loin pork chops
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 tsp. canola oil
  • 2 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 3 Tbs. toasted pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from chops
  2. Place chops between 2 sheets of heavy-duty plastic wrap, and flatten to 1/4-inch thickness, using a meat mallet or rolling pin
  3. Spread mustard on both sides of chops
  4. Combine flour and ginger, then stir well
  5. Dredge pork chops in flour mixture
  6. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray add oil
  7. Place over medium heat until hot
  8. Add chops, and cook 3 minutes on each side or until chops are browned
  9. Combine maple syrup and pecans then add to pork chops, stirring to coat
  10. Cover and simmer 4 minutes or until chops are tender, turning once
  11. Transfer chops to a large serving platter
