Easy Baked Beans
A must have at any summer picnic!
Yield: Serves 6-8
Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry great northern beans
- 4 oz. chopped center cut ham
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 2 tbsp. dijon mustard
- Cold water as necessary
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. Brown Sugar Twin
Instructions
- Wash beans, add cold water to cover, bring to a boil
- Simmer for 5 minutes
- Remove from heat, and let stand 2 to 3 hours
- Drain well
- Cover again with cold water to about 1/2 inch over top of beans
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and let simmer for about 2 1/2 hours or until the beans are soft
- Mix beans and remaining ingredients
- Place in shallow baking dish and bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 2 to 3 hours stirring every hour
