Crunchy Garlic Broiled Halibut

Crunchy and garlic are the perfect combination

Yield: Serves 6


  • 1/3 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 6- 6 oz. halibut steaks
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 1/2 tsp. plain dried bread crumbs
  • Foil
  • Water


  1. Preheat broiler
  2. Line baking sheet with foil
  3. In mini food processor, combine parsley, oil, garlic, and 1 Tbs. plus 1 1/2 tsp. water; process until finely chopped
  4. Transfer mixture to small bowl
  5. Place fish on prepared baking sheet; spread each fish steak with thin layer of parsley mixture; reserve remaining mixture
  6. Broil fish 4 inches from heat, 3 minutes
  7. Remove fish from broiler; leave broiler on
  8. Add bread crumbs to remaining parsley mixture; stir to combine
  9. Pat an equal amount of bread crumb mixture onto each fish steak; broil 3 minutes longer, until fish flakes easily when tested with fork
