Blue Cornbread Donut Stuffed with Andouille Sausage and Peppers

It's donuts for dinner with this hearty recipe.

Yield: Serves 6


1 Vegan Blue Cornbread recipe

1 andouille sausage from Applegate, chopped

1/4 cup finely chopped red bell peppers

1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mist donut pan with cooking spray.

  2. Prepare the cornbread, then fill the molds about 1/3 the way full.

  3. Top the batter with with the sausage, onions, and peppers, then cover with remaining batter.

  4. Bake about 15-20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Donuts should pop right out of the molds and are ready to eat!
