Will my thyroid condition worsen if I take raspberry ketone?

ELEONOR asked this question Feb 12th, 2012 4:17 pm

I have had hypo thyroid for the last 17 years... I take one pill a day "Syntroid". I need to lose weight. I read the article that explains the side effects of taking "Raspberry Ketone Side Effects May Impact Thyroid Health". I have hypo thyroid and I'm taking medication for it "Syntroid"... what happens if I decide to take the raspberry ketone? Will my thyroid condition worsen?

I'd appreciated if you can respond to my concern.
Thanks, Eleonor

You have no more facts than Dr. Oz as far as I can see. As you stated there are not enough human studys being done. You have offered none either to any side affect. If a bear was after me the adrenaline would move me.

I am having the same concerns. I am having hot flashes and I'm combative and anxious worse than ever. I want to shoot that bear so he stops chasing me. If you watch the dr's on his show they are endorsing products and being well paid to do so. His show is actually an hour of advertising. I figured this out when I really started listening to their pitch. You have to decide for yourself and not take everything he says as true. His intentions are good but mixed with making a profit. A very big profit.

I am hypothyroid and on meds. I foolishly started these Raspberry Ketones and now feel like that bear is chasing me constantly. Hot flashes and I feel like I'm on the attack as well. It's not worth the side effects. Do not take it if you already have anxiety issues like I do. You will feel like you are in a free fall just waiting to hit the ground. It's not a good feeling.

Synthroid alone is not worth anything. See if your Physician will prescribe Armour Thyroid.
