Why do I gain weight after my reward meal on the carbohydrate addicts diet ?

I have been on this diet and find it great. I enjoy my reward meals,( I don't have huge portions ) , but have a major problem the following morning when I weigh myself and find I have gained weight WHY ? What am I doing wrong ? I follow the plan correctly, or at least I think I do... Can any body help here plz.... thks
