I've heard the salt water flush wasn't necessary. I would say it's probably not safe because it's I believe 2 liters of salt water? I substituted the tea with herbal senna laxative pills. I believe that's what they were called. I took one more than the dosage on the packaging/bottle; but it's up to you. If you like a green laxative tea, go for it. You just need some form of herbal laxative to credit bowel movement since there isn't any fiber intake. I would recommend taking the laxative at night so you're not running to the bathroom frantically at work/school.
