That was my initial question as well, but I have known people over the years who have followed a 500 calorie/day diet and their vitals starting crashing. This is what I also thought would happen while on the HCG diet, but after hearing of so many positive weight loss stories from the product and reading how it "supposedly" works, I think the homeopathic hormone drops and/or shots trigger absorption of the "bad fat" in your body and not your muscles or organs, which commonly happens when people "starve" themselves. No medical degree here, but that's how I've reasoned it, lol!

The drops help you not feel hungry. They are what kicks the hypothalamus into gear to tell your body to use the extra fat stored in your cells. I think you will be hungry and not be able to stick with the diet of 500 cals.

You will be extremely hungry and will lose about 50-50 fat and muscle, vs. 90% fat with the drops.

I have done the 45 day cycle and I have lost 28 lbs. It was not heard to do. I do take Calcium, B12 everyday and B12 shots once a week. I feel great!

I just came off of a 500 calorie a day diet. I was on it for 3 months and ended up in the doctors office on a heart monitor after collapsing on the floor the night before. I am a healthy woman in my 20's and like everyone, just wanted to lose extra weight I had put on. Yes I lost weight but made myself Sick and weak in the process. I was looking at these Hgc drops tonight myself, the temptation of losing 1lb a day.....come on now, who wouldn't have a piece of that! But after my low calorie diet of 500 cals a day. Well, I'm now cautious. Playing around with hormone levels and plsying tricks on your body doesn't sound great. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to lose weight as fast as HGC diet claims, but the chance of unknown side effects in later life puts me off. As the old saying goes, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.....be kind to your body, treat it like the temple it is,,,,, and it will work well and look fabulous for you!!! Good oils, fresh fruit and veg, and whole foods....a little exsersize everyday, and hey presto!...you'll be laughing. Lol I feel glad for doing just that,,,,I look good now, my skin and hair is great, my body is getting lean and I feel strong. (I don't even mind so much if it takes a little longer now, I think I'm gonna give these hgc drops a miss, but this is my personal opinion)
