What can I do about shredding gums?

My gums are shredding and are wrapping around my teeth causing me great pain. No one can seem to solve my problem. I have been to several dentists and because the gum tissue is hard to see, I have not been able to obtain any resolution. This has been going on for a year and I am in a lot of pain. I have spent $8000 trying to get this solved and I am now broke. PLEASE HELP me find someone who can do something about this for me.
