There is no avocado foreseen in the diet. Did you mean papaya? Mango?

Hi Donna! I have checked the 3 books I have on the BHD. Avocado is listed under 50/50 (protein/carbohydrates). There isn't any substitute food, because avocado doesn't help you lose weight, but that doesn't mean you can't have it. It's probabily difficult to combine, maybe better you eat it on its own. I have lost 17 lbs the first 10 days (I am on the original BHD, not the new one), but still have 39 lbs to go... :-(( Two pregnancies, nearly one after the other, have really been a disaster!!! Tell me if I can help you further!

The diet foresees mango, papaya, pineapple, but as far as I know there is no avocado.. 8 ounces prunes are about a prune and a half, do they really have this effect on you???

Hi, the 1st time I was on the nbhd I couldn't stand the taste of it. So instead of the avacado sandwich (which is what I assume you're talking about) I had a lettuce and tomato sandwich. No protein, but it's healthier anyways and I enjoyed it with mayo. By thqat point you're just happy to have a sandwich. Who cares about that fact that there's no meat. It also falls in line with her rules of conscious combining. Enjoy :)

dont like avocado, eat some other protein you like or an egg. Lucky you for having such good bowel action to the prunes. Even if i soak it, it leaves a lot of wind
