Diets in Review Question

I don't eat meat or chicken, Could I substitute that with shrimp or fish? Thank you.

I have become a vegetarian for my love of animals. And I'm very careful of the dairy I buy to make sure cows are not abused. I understand greek yogurt is to be eaten. So, please give me some suggestions, as I would really like to go on this diet. Thank you!

Sure thing! We actually spoke with the book's author, Dr. Mike Moreno, just last week about this very topic. Dr. Mike says it is just fine for vegetarians, you'll just modify the protein suggestions. Instead of meat or chicken, you'll use soy, dairy or legumes, or even fish/seafood. He cautions that vegetarians are at risk for protein deficiency, so be sure you're not skipping this important nutrient. See more in our 17 Day Diet FAQ.
