To gain weight, choose calorie dense foods like nuts, dried fruits, oil, and butter. Eat larger portions at meals and graze throughout the day. Instead of drinking water, tea, or diet soda, drink high calorie beverages like 100% fruit juice, milk and shakes. Do resistance exercises to convert those extra calories to muscle instead of excess body fat.
