You can use our simple BMI calculator to learn your BMI (body mass index). That link also includes a calculator to determine your daily caloric need.
If you weren't referencing daily caloric need, but instead how to count calories, it's really as simple as counting calories. You'll need to measure portions and read food labels, or get a calorie counting book like the Biggest Loser Complete Calorie Counter.
BMI = (weight in pounds * 703 ) / height in inches²
