Diets in Review Question

How much does optifast cost?

Lisa asked this question Mar 4th, 2013 4:17 am

I'm thinking about contacting Dr. Goldfarb to discuss this diet. I see that you are both having success on it, congratulations, it must feel great! I was wondering if you could tell me how often you have to see him and if the appointments are usually pretty on time. I'm a mother to infant twins and I will have to bring them with me and I'm nervous about how long it will take each time I go there. I would really appreciate your input. Do you find it terribly expensive? I'm sure its worth it though. Many thanks!

My advice to you - buy the shakes at the cheapest location you can and do the diet. You don't need any of the seminars. clinic supervision etc which is all so much commercial garbage designed to make money out of you. Add in a tablespoon of psyllium husks from your helath food store in each shake to make you feel fuller and drink plenty of water with it. As long as you are sensible you don't need to line anyone's pockets other than the cost of the products.

I would have to disagree with Aurora. The seminars, behavioral therapist and nutritionist are extremely important. Opti-fast is just one tool on how to lose weight. My place of employment started Opti fast this past fall and it is growing very quickly with many success stories. This goes beyond supplements and is about transformation. If you are looking at a product for weight loss, you are starting with the wrong mindset. It is about transformation through your behavior. This is long term. The shakes get the weight off fast but you need the behavior and counseling to maintain long term goals. You have to be holistic to maintain weight loss. It goes beyond losing pounds.
