Diets in Review Question

can sensa cause high blood pressure? are there any other side effects?

fran smith asked this question Jun 26th, 2011 4:22 pm

i have been on sensa for 1 week. i have noticed some change in eating habit. i am not eating as much and cravings have gone away. BUT i have developed headaches and high blood pressure. i never get headaches and dont have HBP. i have stopped as of today, and see what happens in the next few days, i also plan on calling my doc to check out the high blood pressure, that is dangerous.

I started Sensa about 3 wks ago. I have lost a couple of pounds but have for the first time in my life developed high blood pressure.. This really scares me so I'm stopping the Sensa to see if my blood pressure improves.. I've been reading several blogs with people having the same issues.

I just went to my doctor and was told I have high blood pressure, never had this. I've been using Sensa for 2 months and lost some weight but going to stop to see if my bp goes down

I had been using sensa for about a week as well. My pressure is always normal but was off the charts! Also I have been having a faint headache. In addition, my muscles have been aching. I'm about to stop using it. I did notice a 3 lb loss in a week

I was using Sensa for about a month and I developed high blood pressure. I went to my dr and he gave me meds to bring pressure but down and when I stopped with the sensa, my pressure returned to normal.

I too developed hbp once I started SENSA. I am very disappointed. I am 3 months in and have lost 23lbs and 5 inches. I am stopping cause my health is more important than how I look...my bp was 161/110...I feel they need to list this as a possible side effect..cause some people who already have hbp..this can be deadly!

I was on Sensa for a couple of weeks, lost no weight, ended up in the emergency room with biliary colotis, low magnesium and extremely high blood pressure. I never had any of these before. I have now stopped the sensa and will go to my doctor for follow up tests.

My blood pressure elevated since using Sensa. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I am going to stop using Sensa immediately.

I stopped the Sensa in November 2012, and I am now doing the fitness pal counting calories and have lost weight, blood pressure is down, I still have to take linospril, but no more stomach issues, which put me in the ER with Bilary Colitis, something to do with the fillers in Sensa causing a blockage.

I started taking sensa and noticed a slight headache after 3 days and a feeling of being ill, also my vision was off and my blood pressure (although normally controlled with medication) was extremely high I have stopped taking sensa

I started Sensa a week ago. I lost a few pounds, but my high blood pressure got worse. I knew it had to be the Sensa, so I stopped taking it. I really think the caffeine in Sensa is responsible for the blood pressure changes

I started Sensa a week ago. I already have mild hypertension. I lost a few pounds, and my cravings improved, but my blood pressure and my pulse went up. I stopped taking Sensa. I am going to try a diet which doesn't involve pills such as Weight Watchers. I think it's about eating the right foods and limiting the bad carbs.. Sensa seemed so easy until I got the dreaded side effect.

Well the same thing happened too me. I started getting headache's after 2 days of taking the Sensa, on the second day not only did I have the headache but my BP was so high that I had a nose bleed. I sent the product back the same day.

Thank you for all your comments. Now I know why my blood pressure if out of control. I just threw all the Sensa away. It was working, but I don't need my blood pressure at 200/100.
Thank you again.
