Head Back to School with Health this Fall
It's hard to believe that in some parts of the country students are getting ready to take home their first progress reports, while others are stepping back in to the classroom for the first time this week. In other words, summer is over. This time of year can create so much chaos in the family schedule that we often let fitness and eating habits we stuck to all summer fall by the way side. Now, more than ever, it's important that the whole family is eating right, getting daily activity, and plenty of sleep. This ensures everyone is out the door on time, getting the grades (and work done) that they need, and feeling up to enjoying the fall weather and events.
Our team is made of moms and dads who are going through the same transition as you, and so we've all worked together to offer some tips and advice for making this your healthiest back to school season yet. All the work you put in now just continues to pay off as we head in to the hectic holiday season and then those inevitable new year's resolutions. Stay on top of it now and you'll thank yourself later!

Prepare this homemade soup over the weekend and then fill thermoses all week long for a healthy, feel-good lunch. You'll like all the veggies, and they'll have fun eating their ABCs.
Hummus is another great lunch box staple you can prepare in advance to serve all week long. Give the kids a tasty, healthy, filling way to nosh on carrot, celery, bell pepper, and zucchini sticks (and even whole grain pita) at lunch!
