Spring into Health
Just as the new year offered an opportunity to make a resolution for change in 2011, the start of spring offers a similar opportunity for renewal. Whether you need to reconnect with that resolution and what you hoped to gain from it, or you need to spring clean personal baggage to make the remainder of 2011 a healthier year, there's no time like the present to make it happen.
The first day of spring is March 21, leaving in its wake the calorie conundrums of Mardi Gras food, Girl Scout cookie season, and St. Patrick's Day beer. Mark your calendars for the spring solstice and start reaping the health benefits of the warmer weather. No more cabin fever doldrums. It's time to embrace a warm evening run, plant a garden with your favorite vegetables (or visit the farmer's market), and fire up the grill once again.
Spring is a time that breeds healthy habits. It's hard to ignore all the possibilities the warmer weather brings with it. Make a re-resolution and make spring your healthiest season of the year!
