The program will specifically address workplace eating challenges such as staff lunches, vending machines, the office candy or cookie jar and other workplace calorie hot-spots. Practical tips and tools will be provided for how to deal with diet challenges.
Overall, the plan emphasizes a diet rich in vegetables, lean proteins, low-fat dairy, some fruit and modest amounts of fat.
No food is off-limits on the Weight Watchers At Work plan, you just have to calculate how its POINTS can factor into your daily allotment.
Since sitting at office desks behind computers for hours and hours five days a week is a big part of our society's weight problem, the Weight Watcher s At Work program encourages moving more while at work.
Whether it's taking a walk at lunch, parking your car at the far end of the lot, getting up to speak to a colleague rather than emailing them, or taking the stairs rather than the elevator, each participant is strongly recommended to move more throughout the day.
In addition, participants are encouraged to support each other in their physical activity goals by engaging in these activities together such as taking a lunch-hour walk or heading to the gym with one another after work.
The Weight Watcher s At Work program encourages healthy eating and lifestyle behaviors in the workplace. Targeting actions in the workplace that facilitate weight gain like overeating, access to vending machines and a sedentary workday, Weight Watchers At Work teaches employees the tools they need to lose weight in the workplace through its weekly meetings, meal plans and weigh-ins.
