The Weight Loss Grail

An ebook that claims to be the holy grail of diets.

BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

The Weight Loss Grail is an ebook that contains a simple plan for losing weight without counting calories or carb grams. The "holy grail" of permanent weight loss involves making sure that your body consumes the proper balance of key nutrients that are necessary for proper metabolism.

The creators of The Weight Loss Grail claim that a lack of these key nutrients distorts the metabolism thereby causing you to hold on to fat even by following a diet and exercise plan.

Using a method called "Vitappetite," the plan puts forth a plan that involves taking these key nutrients to replenish the body with lost nutrients - the very nutrients that may be predisposing your body to hold on to weight.

The Weight Loss Grail also involves combining certain foods at particular times in order to release fat-storing hormones that will enable your body to shed pounds. In addition to the purchase of the ebook, you also have access to an online weight loss diary which you are encouraged to complete every day.

The plan promises to help you lose 28 pounds in 28 days.

PRO
  • Ebook format is easy and quick to access
  • No foods are off limits
  • Sheds light on why fad diets don't work
  • Some foods endorsed in the diet may have thermogenic qualities
CON
  • Sounds like a fad diet
  • Details of plan can only be revealed by purchasing ebook
  • Unsubstantiated weight loss claims
DIET and NUTRITION

The Weight Loss Grail eating plan is a food combining technique that requires you eat protein and certain probiotic foods and supplements in order to lose weight and rebalance your metabolism.

The plan suggests eating six meals a day, each of which adhere to the magical fat-burning ratio of carbs to fat to proteins. Certain vegetables and fruit are strongly encouraged for their seeming ability to burn more calories to digest than they contain.

No food is off limits as the plan shows you how to safely consume without over-indulging in your favorite foods.

EXERCISE

While the mainstay of The Weight Loss Grail is its nutrition plan, there is an exercise component that can be adapted to any fitness level. The exercise plan calls for a modest requirement of exercising on most days of the week for 30-45 minutes at a time.

CONCLUSION

The Weight Loss Grail is an ebook that outlines a specific food combining and nutrient-specific nutrition plan. But its end goal of helping you lose 28 pounds in 28 days is a bit extreme and its tight-lipped plan of the "Vitappetite" method and magic fat-burning ratio of food combinations raises some concerns about how fad this claimed "non-fad" diet actually is.

But on a positive note, the plan won't have you counting calories or points and it does advocate keeping a food diary, exercising regularly, eating mini meals throughout the day and indulging in your favorite foods in order to lose weight. All of these practices are sound techniques for both immediate weight loss and lifestyle changes that support long-term weight loss.

I recently was in a production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I was Joseph. 30 days before opening night, my 199 pound self started searching for quick weight loss diets. Thank god I came across this. I lost just about 28 - 30 pounds in 30 days. Crazy Crazy Crazy. The only problem, you eat 6 times a day and coming up with 6 different small meals every day, proves to be difficult. If you are resourceful, you can keep the diet going... fast food is just so much easier. :) Needless to say, I'm back to my old ways... but will ALWAYS use this when I want to live a healthier lifestyle. I've managed to combine my old eating habits with my new, inevitably, I actively try and eat healthier now that I've learned the basics of this program, which is definitely a good thing! Thanks Weight Loss Holy Grail!
