The Holford 9-Day Liver Detox

A detox diet that won't leave you starving.

BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Patrick Hollford is one of the UK's foremost nutrition experts, and the author of The Holford 9-Day Liver Detox. Now available for the Amazon Kindle, this detox diet promises to boost your energy level, improve digestion, improve the appearance of your skin and counteract the effect of stress. Although this detox will restrict certain foods, it is not a fast, and you will be able to eat meals.

  • Not a fast
  • Includes 30 recipes
  • Features testimonials
  • Cleanses without making you starve
  • May lead to moderate weight loss
  • Encourages healthy eating
  • Not a long-term solution for weight loss
  • According to WebMD, there is little science supporting most liver detox diets

While on the 9-day detox, you will eat foods that supposedly boost liver function, like leafy greens (cress, cabbage, bok choy, broccoli), fish, nuts and seeds. Ideally, you will start the nine days of detox on a Saturday, so the diet will last through the next weekend.

Not Applicable

Although there is little scientific research supporting the use of detox diets, The Holford 9-Day Liver Detox has a major advantage over other detox diets because it promotes healthy, nourishing foods. You may indeed feel more energized after following this detox simply by cutting out alcohol, caffeine and other substances found in processed foods.

If you wish to follow a natural liver detox, then The Holford 9-Day Liver Detox is a healthy and safe choice.
