The Fat Smash Diet
Are you ready to flatten your stomach with the Fat Smash Diet?
Created by Dr. Ian Smith, host of VH-1’s Celebrity Fit Club, The Fat Smash Diet helps you lose weight and keep it off. It is comprised of four distinct phases each lasting nine days to four weeks with the end result being a slimmer and healthier you. The Fat Smash Diet lays out a fairly detailed 90-day plan that also includes recipes, an exercise plan and portion control information.
- The Fat Smash Diet lays out a healthy way of eating
- Permits alcohol and sugar in moderation in the final phase of the diet
- Dr. Ian Smith well-respected weight loss authority
- No online component
- Fruit and vegetables are only allowed during the first nine days of the diet
The Fat Smash Diet contains a detailed four-phase plan of eating that spans over 90 days. During the first nine days, you’ll essentially be feasting on veggies and fruit. The next phase you will introduce lean protein and some grains to your diet. The third phase incorporates a wider range of grains such as pasta and bread in addition to the vegetables, fruit and lean protein. The final phase has you maintaining this steady diet in addition to occasionally indulging in many of the foods that were previously denied in the first three phases. Sample recipes from The Fat Smash Diet include, red bean sweet potato soup, spinach & artichoke dip and sautéed sea bass.
During each phase of The Fat Smash Diet you will be exercising on most days of the week. You start out by performing cardiovascular exercise thirty minutes a day. During the final phase, you increase the amount of time spent exercising to one hour.
The book also provides an index of activities and their corresponding caloric expenditures.
Whether you are a fan of the show Celebrity Fit Club or not, Dr. Smith’s book outlines an eating plan that has helped a lot of people lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle. But be warned that its first phase is quite limited in what you can eat.

(Page 1 of 1)It works... I am on month three and i have lost 46 lbs so far. Easier said then done but the its worth it for the results. I did however exercise a lot more than what Dr. Ian suggest. I exercise for about two hrs a day/ 6 days a week. Hour of cardio in the morn and core/strength training at night. This was my third time starting the diet, i had quit the previous times. Truly a lifestyle change.
I'm on day 2 of phase 2 and have lost 11.5 pounds. The detox was extremely hard at days 4 and 7, but managed to hold strong. I feel much better physically and mentally and look forward to reaping the full rewards of this healthier lifestyle!
i'm on the fat smash diet now i'm trying to get through the first phase with 4 day left i 'm still holding strong i lost 1 pound already
I got throught the detox without any problem. I am on phase II right now. I haven't lose any weight so far, not even one pound... I did have two glasses of wine over the Thanksgiving dinner. Let's see what will happen in two weeks.
It's hard (like all diets) but it is doeable. Of all the diets I've tried, this one really workd.
Did it for a month, no cheating, lost half a pound and all my goodwill.
Ah~ I was on this diet last summer. I lost a tremendous amount of weight within the first 3 weeks, but because of my crappy motivation... the diet died T.T I think that if I had continued the diet, I would be SERIOUSLY SLIM right now!
Phase 1 is so restrictive that it takes tremendous willpower to get started. But if Dr. Ian leads, I will follow...
I've actually tried the fat smash diet and it works if you can get through the phases. it starts out rough but brings back in some of the foods you're used to
Dr. Ian? that man is so fine I'd try any diet he recommends
