I tried many diets over the years, a constant struggle!! I hit 185lbs and I am not even 5' 3" in height and was very sad. I started LA weight loss will be 2 years coming Jan 2009! I LOST 62 pounds!!!!!ANd have kept it off!! LA eating plan taught me to eat properly with everyday food choices!!!! The ladies that worked there were wonderful!!! Supportive!!! THE BEST!! And yes it did cost some $$$ was it worth the cost, YES I went from size 16 tight fitting to size 1 jeans!!!!! And yes the bars cost some $$ big deal! I paid more for double choc deserts I use to eat and all the extra portions I would order in restaurants! I love the bars and I won't be without them!! Do you want a eating plan that works and IF you actually follow it exactly YOU will lose weight!!!! I followed the plan exactly and the weight litterally fell off! I'm impressed, I am so happy I did this for myself. I feel wonderful!

I joined LA weight loss and was incredibly upset like a lot of you. The center was shut down and of course I just paid for my program. So now im out a lot of money! I was wondering if I would ever get my money back? Probably not! So I went to Herbal Magic. All the girls there were really nice and when I explained my situation they were very helpful and understanding. I got to transfer my program for free for the year! I had to pay a starter kit price which isn’t bad, its like all the things you need in order to be on there program but it was only 350. I was placed on there supplements to help get my weight moving (they make me feel great!) In a way im glad that LA weight loss shut down. The Herbal Magic store that I went to was the one on Rymal and upper Ottawa street in Hamilton. I love those girls and I am already down 15lbs!

I was a client with LA Weight Loss for a year and I loved the results. Although I have to say that the girls running it knew just as much about the program as I did. Needless to say 10 months later and the 20+ pounds slowly crept back on due to lack of information about the program(for me). I was going to the center in Ft. Collins, Co. when they too shut their doors without any notice. I drove up one afternoon to get weighed in to find the office was totally empty!? I tranferred to another nearby town, only to have the same thing happen to me. So, I called their hotline 877-522-2577, a number my sister-in-law (who also was in the program) gave me. I told them exactly what I am writing today, and they have never called me back. I have 600+ credit in LA Bars, and I also renewed my plan for another year, which I obviously will never see. Something definantly needs to be done.

I was a counsellor for this program in Oakville. It is very balanced nutritionally, however with most goals for weight loss you have to find a way that works for you. You are able to fit any food into your menu plan - it will obviously just slow down your weight loss. I hope whomever did the program or is doing the program maintains their weight loss and continues it. And definetely get your money refunded for it closing down you did pay for a service that was not fulfilled

I joined this organization to get help in losing weight. I have tried many others but lo and behold, the weight returns. I have been on the program 3 months and have lost 24 1/2 lbs as I am taking it very easy.
posted Nov 8th, 2008 7:16 pmToday I learned that the company has gone bankrupt and I do believe that this did not just happen overnight. At the time I signed up for this program, LA Weight Loss Centres would have been in recievership.
I intend to follow through with the extended paperwork they gave me today and hopefully this will be a success.
Many people like myself cannot afford to lose alot of money.

I just found out today LA Weight Loss is closing all 300 stores. Due to the economy. But they will be setting up existing customers with phone contacts to the 2 main stores to report in 3 times a week. You have to fax in your diary. You do have a option to cancel and arrange a refund.

posted Nov 3rd, 2008 6:01 pmI have to say, this program worked for me due to sheer stubbornness and determination on my part - it cost me way too much for it not to work. The "counsellors" were often rude and pushy and more often than not had no idea about proper nutrition. The cost was exorbitant - I think I spent in the neighbourhood of $3000 over the first year.
I managed to stay under my goal weight for the entire maintenance period, so I'm looking forward to seeing whether or not they honour my rebate for staying on program.
I have a hard time recommending the program because of the downfalls I mention above.

Liked at first and lost a few pounds with it however the diet is not flexible, gets old real fast and weight loss goal is very unrealistic and "not typical" plus very expensive, they encourage you to make a long term commitment when you don't know a whole lot about the plan yet and like a lot of desperate fat people I fell for it...

I signed up three days ago, I am quite unhappy. I paid 700$ up front, and then went back after two days to be asked for $1300 dollars for the LA lites bars. These aren't magic bars, and the juice isn't magic juice. It's juice! The bars are soy and corn syrup. I decided I will not be using the bars. I've spent enough. Idon't want to spend a small fortune on the bars after having shelled out a small fortune. I feel like an idiot for not finding out a lot more before even signing up but it never occurred to me that it could possibly cost this much. I will make this work for me, and I'm not quitting. I am afraid of the pressure but I guess this is going to be a test of sorts, not really something I'd recommend. It's completely inethical not to give a person the total cost up front. But with costs like that my guess is the doors would close. If you want to run a business in that way, word of mouth will eventually close your doors for you. It's kinda sad to go someplace hoping to feel better about yourself only to end up feeling stupid. I haven't said anything, and most likely won't say anything about it to the store manager or the 'councellor' I have.

i joined LA weightloss a week ago and i was never pressured into buying anything ya its expensive but when you have tried all the other diets out there with no success and spent over 3 grand 800 bucks doesnt seem like alot .Im happy with the service that i have gotten and ive already lost 8 pnds since ive started. I will post again in a few months

I do lose my weight greatly,thanks to one of the best counsellor! I started at Burlington location and ended at Oakville,where I found my best motivator in my life!She is fantastic with high knowledge and her passion for to get people to get to their goal weight.I know her now over a year.I did renew my program because so nicely my weight is coming off,but I am not at the end,I still has to lose more.And I will,because this lady tought me so much how to live a healthy and happy lifestyle.I am with this program still because of her help.Beside, all the girls (they are younger then her)were good and helpful,but they were asking many time her oppinion about what is good to suggest in certain time)I think they were working in great atmosphere together,first because this lady,is in this center, and everyone looks up to her and respects her knowledge for her working act.Girls are started to leave one by one not to long time ago.One was an olympic skater,she told me it is a hard decission because she loves her job and learned so much from this lady who is a fantastic person all the way,helped so many client to lose weight,giving many advise and boost to live healthy.The company promoted her as a center manager few months ago.And she did deserve that because saving so many life with the best support!After about a month,on a discasting way the companytook her position away,because they closed an other center,and that manager neede this position,who already run down an other center befor and I herd from one of my friend,this young manager girl was drinking on a job on many occassion when she was in Port Credit center a manager.The Company gave a manager position to this young,has a horrible attitude,person.My counsellor is an assistant manager now.I don't think she cares to much about who has what kind of position,she is for us,for people,who needs help.I herd,she made the most money in this center for the company.Yes she sells me everything too,but I know all the bars and supplements what she reccomends to me and others,she believes and knows it helps on the program.I am so sorry for this lady and angry,and I'll miss all the other girls.Now I see an other is quitting and the other gets horrible treat from the company for no reason.I heard,this center is closing too!And Others too!!!!!!
I do not know what else is coming,but this company is can not be trusted,does not matter how good program they have,if many of us can not finish the program.They just taking our money.Few weeks ago my girlfriend and her mother and sister signed up on an open house!
Because the cancellation can be before 10 days,they not going to get back their money! I just signed up to renewing,no refund!!!No refund on an over 1000 dollar for their bars!!!! I paid for bars and supplements!!!!I can not go to other center,because they are already closed in the last few months all other city's center what would be reachable for me or of my friends.Burlington,Erin Mills,Port Credit,Hamilton, already closed just not to long time ago. I know,the company is going down,they do not telling to their own employees,just from one day to an other.Many of the will be out of job from one momment to an other,these people,who are really for us,overweight people.The company is saying,they are saving life! It si not this company, the Heros are these ladies,specially my counsellor,who were working with us one on one and taking all the "S" form us and from this distrustable company!!!
I will make sure my counsellor will know all my great respect and I hope she'll be found a better company to work for where she'll be happy on her job too.

I lost 108 lbs so far with her help! And I learned a great lesson from her for my whole life.Now I will still lose some more,I got married last year, we do plan for baby soon,and I know what to do and how to live my life forever because of Andrea.

My husband joined LAW in Oct 2007...LAW took is money for his one year membership, money for the supplements, money for the Lite bars. Every week he followed his program, the food guide and the weight session. He lost 20 pounds the first month; however after reaching his "plateau", the weight was not coming off as fast as promised. He got frustrated and after 6-7 months trying - he stops doing the LAW rules. Now that was me who got frustrated because LAW CSR took all his money and did not even care to follow up with him or even call up to see why they have not seen him for some weeks….of course not they got his money in the first place why should they do all that work now. Who have not been discouraged following a diet - Is it not why people joint Diet Program so CSR or instructors can give them the push needed? Well I will not recommend LAW because of there none customer service attitude. They are sales people in the first place and they work for their $$$. I understand LAW might have a few success stories but in reality there are more untold unsatisfied client’s stories. Stop losing your money to this company...start believing in yourself and do what you already know!

I joined LA weightloss in Jan. of 2008 and have lost 40 pounds, I reached my goal 6.5 months after starting. I didn't lose 2 pounds a week like they told me, but I lost it and I'm happy!! It is an expensive program, but for me it has been worth every penny I have spent. I take all of the supplements and take advantage of the bars and snacks, they help with my cravings, and I feel the supplements have attributed to the way my body looks. I have never felt better in my life.
