This is Jillian Michaels' first book and goes along with her fitness DVD series, The Biggest Winner. The author Jillian is slightly less intimidating than the Jillian we watch on The Biggest Loser every week, but her tough-love attitude and no-excuses tone are still evident in the book.

Jillian discusses the "3-S" in her book: Self, Science, and Sweat. In the "Self" section, Jillian shares her history as an overweight teens and tells readers than they can overcome their own demons if they put their minds to it. In the "Science" section, she addresses common dieting and weight loss myths (SPOILER: diet pills do not work as well or as long as a good workout) and also offers some recipes for users to try.
